Teaching Pinterest is a blast! It is easy to teach sometime when you love using it!
It went well! The three students I had were helpful and understanding when somethings did not turn out as expected. For example, because of updates they no longer have you list of what you are interested in. This made the checklist I created and had them check off almost useless. They did get to see the categories which might help them in the future for searching. I am busy writing up all this for my final project report. In the end they all created accounts and search different topics for the floral business and created pinboards on those subjects. Two of my learners are hooked. They loved the quality of the images and they fact that you can connect with other people. The other learner was a little more hesitant and she will be less likely to use the application, but she will understand what the other two are taking about when discussing using it. I enjoyed teaching the use of this tool, because of it's so versatile and visually appealing.
I just got an e-mail from Pinterest on "Place Pins." It made me think of you! I may have to now use Pinterest for my project as well now that they let you tag places. I'm glad that this has gone over well for you (for most participants...LOL)!
